What was your first experience of Welsh music?
Radio Cymru – music was always played around the house! Bands like Sibrydion, Frizbee, Derwyddon Dr Gonzo, Yr Ods.

Who was your favourite Welsh language band or musician whilst growing up?
I’d say that Frizbee was my favourite Welsh band growing up… my brothers and sister were obsessed too, so there was no escape. One of my first Welsh gig experiences was when Frizbee and Gola Ola came to school on the C2 tour, great gig!

What is your favourite Welsh language album or song ever?
Impossible to choose – but recently I’ve been listening to ‘Cyffredin’ by Frizbee a lot.

What’s the best Welsh language music performance you have ever seen?
I’ve been to so many Welsh gigs that they’ve all mashed up together by now… but one of my favourite gigs recently was seeing ‘Band Pres Llareggub’ for the first time at the National Eisteddfod on the S4C stage which was class. Derwyddon Dr Gonzo’s gig at ‘Cân ar Dân’ festival was also good and I enjoy Gŵyl Gwydir festival every year.

Has Welsh language music influenced your life in any way?
Yes, definitely! It’s like my whole life has been rotating around creating music, particularly Welsh music.

What are you listening to at the moment?
Recently I’ve been listening to new stuff by Band Pres Llareggub, Anelog, Novo Amor, Jungle, Jack Garratt, Daniel Pemberton stuff.
