What was your first experience of Welsh music?

Seeing Geraint Jarman playing live at the National Eisteddfod with Tich Gwilym on lead guitar. Seeing Tich playing was a turning point in my life. That was when I decided to play guitar.

Who was your favourite Welsh language band or musician whilst growing up?

Y Diawled, Crys, Maffia Mr Huws, Omega, Llygod Ffyrnig, Anrhefn and the Trwynau Coch

What is your favourite Welsh language album or song ever?

Y Gwyliau’ by Tynal Tywyll. ‘Cyn Symud I Ddim’ by Datblygu is also great.

What’s the best Welsh language music performance you have ever seen

Any of the Jess gigs probably. They were one of the best live bands I’ve seen in any language.

Has Welsh language music influenced your life in any way?

In every way. I was lucky to have the chance to record and gig so young with the help of the Urdd Aelwyd in Crymych. This was a great advantage when I started working as a professional musician.
