The Dinefwr Literature Festival near Llandeilo is a family-friendly, bilingual event offering an eclectic programme of writers and poets, comedy, music, art, film, cabaret and children’s activities.
Green Man FWakestock, Festival Number Six, Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau and Sŵn showcase established and up-and-coming bands and singers. There are several film festivals too, including the Carmarthen Bay Film Festival, Caernarfon’s PICS Film Festival for Children and Young People and the internationally acclaimed Iris Prize Festival.
Regional and Local Festivals
Cardiff’s Welsh language festival Tafwyl kicks off with a huge event in the grounds of Cardiff Castle, which attracts thousands of visitors.
